The Mackie SA1530z Super Active uses a 15" long-throw woofer, a 6" mid speaker, and 1-3/4" tweeter backed up by a robust 1300W of power. Tri-amplification delivers 1,100W to the lows, 100W to the mids, and 100W to the highs. The WaveFront horn maximizes the mid- and high-frequency drivers for ultrawide sound dispersion. Onboard active crossover, time correction, phase alignment, and thermal system protection all work seamlessly to reproduce the signal with the utmost fidelity. System yields a frequency response of 40Hz-20kHz.
The Mackie SA1530z Super Active employs an optimized wide-dispersion WaveFront™ horn design, a one-piece 90° x 40° horn that combines both mid and high frequency drivers. Unlike typical mid/high horn designs, the high-frequency section fires slightly downward into the six-inch mid-range driver's dispersion pattern, creating a focused, single wave front with excellent phase and power response characteristics. The resulting 90° x 40° dispersion pattern provides open, natural sound for the entire audience, even at extreme output levels.
